Robert Boostanfar, MD, FACOG is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist serving the greater Los Angeles area, with offices in Encino and Westlake Village, California. Dr. Boostanfar provides expert care in both male and female fertility, offering services such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), egg freezing, egg and sperm donation, surrogacy, and family-building support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Dr. Boostanfar has built a strong reputation through his work at HRC Fertility and frequent media appearances. His television features include Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Good Morning America, CNN, KTLA, CBS, and The Learning Channel, where he served as the resident doctor on The Little Couple. As a widely published researcher, Dr. Boostanfar has presented his studies across the U.S., Canada, and Italy. He recently served as principal investigator for the largest randomized controlled trial on in vitro fertilization, published in the journal Human Reproduction.
Dr. Boostanfar actively participates in leading professional organizations, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed medical school at the University of Southern California in 1995. He went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in 2002 at USC’s Los Angeles County Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
